A reducing bushing is a galvanized or brass part that screws into a port and then has a threaded hole into which a smaller fitting screws

Reducing Bushing are used to connect metal pipes with two different diameters by reducing the inner diameter of the pipe.
A PVC Reducing Bush is installed into a fitting to allow smaller size pressure pipe to fit into the fitting and join into the irrigation system.
